Certain Paper Bill Account Notices Are Moving to Email

Pacific Northern Gas is updating how certain account-related communications are delivered to customers who receive paper bills and have an email address associated with their account.

Beginning September 15, 2026, Pacific Northern Gas is moving certain account notices and communications from physical mail to email.

Please note: This does not change your billing preference. If you currently receive paper bills, you will continue to receive them by mail. However, payment reminders, service updates and other important account notices and communications will arrive by email.

Updating Your Email Address

To ensure you continue receiving important account information, please make sure the email address associated with your PNG account is current.

If you have a Customer Advantage account, you can review or update your email address at any time through the Customer Advantage portal:

  1. Sign in at myaccount.png.ca
  2. Select Update My Info
  3. Select Profile Information
  4. Review or update your email address

If you do not have a Customer Advantage account, you have two options to update your email address:

  • Online: Create a Customer Advantage account to manage your account information.
    • Note: New accounts automatically default to paperless e-billing, but you can change this preference back to paper bills at any time in your settings.
  • By Phone or Contact Form: Contact Customer Care to update your email address without making any changes to your paper billing preference.

Beginning on September 15, 2026, some account-related communications that were previously delivered by mail will instead be delivered by email to customers who receive paper bills and have an email address associated with their PNG account.

Examples include account notices, payment reminders, service-related updates and other important information about your account.

This change applies to customers who:

  • Receive paper bills by mail; and
  • Have an email address associated with their PNG account.

Customers affected by this change have also been notified directly by email using the email address on file.

This change does not affect:

  • Customers who are already enrolled in e-billing and therefore receive account communications electronically; or
  • Customers who receive paper bills and do not have an email address associated with their PNG account.

This change applies to customers who receive paper bills and have an email address associated with their PNG account.

If you have a Customer Advantage account, you can review your contact information online by signing in to Customer Advantage and selecting Update My Info, then Profile Information.

If you do not have a Customer Advantage account, you can either:

  • Create a Customer Advantage account to review your account information online. Please note that if you create a Customer Advantage account, you will be automatically enrolled in e-billing.
  • Contact Customer Care to confirm the contact information associated with your account.

Billing preferences can be updated at any time through Customer Advantage or by contacting Customer Care.

Account notices and communications delivered by email include payment-related notices such as past due notices, pre-authorized payment confirmations and payment plan confirmations; service and account notices such as disconnection notices and meter notifications; and other important account communications and updates.

Yes. Customers who currently receive paper bills will continue to receive paper bills by mail.

PNG will use the email address associated with your account. You can review or update your email address through Customer Advantage or by contacting Customer Care.

If you have a Customer Advantage account, you can review or update your email address by signing in to Customer Advantage at myaccount.png.ca, selecting Update My Info and then Profile Information.

If you do not have a Customer Advantage account, you have two options:

  • Option 1: Create a Customer Advantage account
    Creating a Customer Advantage account allows you to review and update your contact information online. Please note that if you create a Customer Advantage account, you will be automatically enrolled in e-billing. If you prefer to continue receiving paper bills, you can update your billing preference through Customer Advantage or by contacting Customer Care.
  • Option 2: Contact Customer Care
    Customer Care can assist with reviewing and updating the contact information associated with your account.

Yes. If you would prefer to receive your bills electronically, you can sign up for e-billing by creating a Customer Advantage account.

Yes. If you would prefer to receive account notices and communications by mail rather than email, please contact Customer Care. A representative can update the communication preferences associated with your account.

If you have a Customer Advantage account, you can also review and update your contact information and preferences online.

Keeping the email address associated with your account up to date helps ensure you continue to receive important account notices and communications in a timely manner.
