Energy Step Code Support Program

Improving the airtightness of your residential construction project’s building envelope will enhance the home’s energy efficiency.

PNG’s Energy Step Code Support Program provides incentives for mid-construction blower door tests on new or renovation projects located in communities served by PNG, helping you comply with the BC Energy Step Code. Homeowners or contractors can receive rebates of $400 per test for a single-family home or $300 per test on each unit of a semi-detached home. 

How to Participate

To benefit from this rebate, simply download and complete the application found here , and send it along with your paid invoice and related documentation to savingenergy@png.ca.

Is Your Project Located in the City of Terrace?

PNG’s Energy Step Code Support Program provides funding to municipalities who administer the Energy Step Code program on PNG’s behalf.

If your new build or renovation project is located with the City of Terrace, please contact Nathan Brooks at the City of Terrace at 250-615-4023 or nbrooks@terrace.ca to ask how to apply for your rebate.
