PNG Conducting Work Near Port Edward and Prince Rupert

June 30, 2025

To support the continued safety and reliability of our system, on July 3, Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. (PNG) will conduct routine repairs to our pipeline approximately 25 kilometres upstream (east) from Port Edward. There will be no service disruptions to customers.

To complete the repairs, PNG will isolate the system. During this period, we will serve the Prince Rupert and Port Edward areas with liquified natural gas (LNG) on an as-needed basis. PNG has served the Prince Rupert and Port Edward areas with LNG on a number of prior occasions. LNG is an energy source that PNG regularly deploys when needed to ensure safe and reliable service is maintained to customers. Regular gas supply is expected to resume by the evening of July 3.

PNG’s top priority is the safety of the communities in which we operate, our customers and our people. Thank you for your cooperation as we complete this important work.
